Uber: Mission Impossible – Side Hustle
As part of their rebranding efforts, Uber was looking to change the way they market themselves on YouTube to customers. With sponsorship behind the new Mission Impossible: Fallout film the brand was looking for a clever way to promote their product and the biggest film of the summer.
Rather than making a traditional advertisement Denizen Company focused on making something entertaining for viewers first and foremost. Since Tom Cruise does all of his own stunts we figured his stunt double would have a lot of free time on his hands. The mockumentry concept was born, and the resulting video has accumulated nearly 500,000 views in the first 24 hours of release along with numerous blog posts from sites like Bleeding Cool, Cimeablend, Collider, and more.
