Ames Room Experience
Brief
Disney was looking for a creative way to drive interested in upcoming .summer film Ant-Man & Wasp. A visual effects comedy, the brand wanted to emphasize that big fun comes in small packages. The client wanted an experience to share with influencers, press, and even the star-studded cast to show fans that Ant-Man is back and is even better.
The idea
Press junkets are typically all the same. A bunch of interviews with a couple of interesting photo ops or props from the film to look at. We want to flip the script by letting press and influencers step into an optical illusion ames room where you can increase and decrease in size like Ant-Man right in front of your very eyes. No post SFX needed! More than an Instagram wall, the Video Room created huge buzz with press, fans, and influencers experiencing the room. Even the cast tried it out leading to one of the most liked Marvel Studios Instagram posts ever, and landed on the front page of Reddit.com, the fourth largest website in the US.
